USB Power Delivery (USB PD)
USB PD (Power Delivery) is the protocol based on BMC (Biphase Mark Coding) and can be applied to Laptops / Tablets / Mobile phones / Power banks or other devices with USB Type-C for power supplying or charging. The maximum power offered by USB Type-C can be 240W, and the users can charge the device by supporting USB Type-C connector.
The USB PD 3.1 specification summarizes the contents of the original USB PD 3.0 into the Standard Power Range (SPR), the maximum power remains the original 100W, and at the same time increases the Extended Power Range (EPR).

– Bus decode：
• Monitor the voltage and the current by the message of Power Negotiation.
• Monitor the switch of alternate mode.
• View the Vendor Defined Message (VDM).
• View the 4b/5b value.
• View the message between host (Source) and device (Sink).
• Monitor the switch of upstream/downstream.
• Detect the bit rate automatically.
• Support Version: USB PD 3.1( Version1.0, Revision 3.1 ) or lower.
Acute TS2212H DSO, with its 16bits high vertical resolution, supports the stack function with the logic analyzers to measure the power signal to view the ripple more clearly.
Acute offers an optional USB Type C Fixture to measure the USB PD signal by connecting the CC1 or CC2 and the ground pins with its logic analyzer.
