Acute exhibits at the Microchip Taiwan Tech Forum 2024

Date and Venue: 5/20 Kaohsiung, 5/23 Taipei

At the Microchip seminar, Acute demonstrated the measurement of 10BASE-T1S differential signals in Live mode (real-time waveform and decoding display) using the MSO3124V. This device is a 6-in-1 Instruments (DAQ, DSO, DVM, Frequency Counter, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer), which is able to measure/display analog and digital signals at the same time.

10BASE-T1S is an Ethernet technology based on the IEEE 802.3cg standard, designed to simplify network cabling in industrial and automation fields. With the development of the new generation of vehicles aiming for automated driving, vehicle architecture is undergoing significant changes. Among these, the in-vehicle network that connects Electronic Control Units (ECUs) responsible for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is becoming a crucial factor. In this context, automotive Ethernet is especially noteworthy. 100BASE-T1 (100Mbps) and 1000BASE-T1 (1Gbps) are deployed in sensor systems such as cameras, radar, and LiDAR. Among these, the new standard for automotive Ethernet, 10BASE-T1S, with a data rate of 10Mbps, is increasingly attracting attention.

The 10BASE-T1S bus decode feature is available as a free upgrade across all Logic Analyzer products from Acute Technology Inc.

Features:

1. Added 10BASE-T1S Decode, with a single channel
2. The signal is differential; if using an LA tool for measurement, an additional 10BASE-T1S Differential signal adaptor is required, or direct measurement can be performed through the TravelBus series
3. Supports MultiDrop or Point-to-Point decoding
4. Header analysis for IPv4 format
5. Supports 5b data display such as BEACON, COMMIT, ESDOK, ESDERR, etc.
6. Packet error highlighting for easy debugging
