MCTP (Management Component Transport Protocol) is a
transport-independent protocol defined by the DMTF (Distributed Management Task Force).
It can operate over multiple physical layers such as PCIe,
I²C,
MIPI I3C,
SMBus,
UART, and Ethernet,
enabling management and monitoring of servers and embedded systems.
SPDM (Security Protocol and Data Model) is a security management protocol based on MCTP,
used for authentication, key negotiation, and secure communication between platform devices,
ensuring the integrity and security of management layer communications.
Acute Technology logic analyzers support decoding and display of MCTP and SPDM packets,
helping engineers clearly observe and analyze platform management protocol communications over the bus,
and quickly locate and resolve issues during the design or verification process.
